She is a first-generation Hispanic and is dedicated to telling stories rooted in compassion and the need to share narratives like her parents' in a way that feels authentic to them, gives them control over their story, and is told in their language.


Driven by stories that matter, believes empathy and visual storytelling can reshape narratives and build bridges where walls exist.


She is dedicated to capturing dance media that truly understands the art form, showcasing the humanity and emotion within it.

Background

Kimberly graduated from Colorado State University with dual degrees in Journalism and Media Communication and Dance, along with a minor in Music, Stage, and Sports Production. She has a background in broadcast journalism from her earlier years and is also a dancer. During college, she pursued the video production track by taking courses in video and media production. Although her primary focus was video production, she aimed to develop a broad skill set in media rather than specialize, enrolling in a variety of courses and internships to expand her knowledge.


Her most notable accomplishments include her film Un Sueño Humilde, which tells her parents' immigration story and premiered at the ACT Human Rights Film Festival in 2026. Additionally, for her Senior Dance Capstone Concert, she choreographed and produced a multimedia performance that combined dance, photography, and video, all captured by her.
